Let the games begin...

We can't believe it's been FOUR YEARS since we hosted the last Olympics, but here we are again and ready to cheer on Team GB. We've got all sorts of fun planned, with Brazilian cocktails, brunches and al fresco screenings on the cards...

South Place Hotel

South Place Hotel is so excited for the Olympics, that the team has not only created a trio of cocktails, but vowed to give away a pair of them for every medal Team GB snags. Just tag @SouthPlaceHotel in an Instagram snap of you celebrating the latest win, using the hashtag #SouthPlaceWinning and they'll reward their favourite with a pair of cocktails to match that Bronze, Silver or Gold medal. They'll also be screening the action down in the ground floor bar, so that's convenient...

Get into the Rio spirit at Plateau with two sporty new additions to its cocktail list and weekly Olympic-themed brunches. Every Sunday from 6th-28th August, there will be a serious party with live jazz music and two Brazilian courses for £25 or three courses for £30. And did we mention there'll be bottomless Caipirinhas for just £10 extra?

We can't think of a better spot to watch the games than on the big screen in the Bluebird Courtyard! The restaurant upstairs is currently closed for refurbishment, but the famous terrace is in the grips of Olympic fever! There are Brazilian bar bites, including churrasco beef skewers and bolinho de baclhua (mini salt cod balls) and we've even heard rumours about a couple of cocktail specials...

Get yourself in the spirit for some serious Team GB cheering at Madison. The bar team has created a trio of limited edition cocktails: Gold, Silver and Bronze, perfect sipped on the rooftop terrace as you survey that view of St Paul's and come over all patriotic...

100 Wardour St

Looking for a spot in Soho to watch the games that isn't a grotty pub? 100 Wardour St's got your back, screening the games daily in their Playroom and Atrium. It's also an excellent spot to sneak out the office for a a long lunch... If you're feeling extra flush, grab some friends and hire the Playroom out for a private screening. There's also a mini list of twists on Brazil's favourite Caiprinha cocktail, in collaboration with the rather tasty Velho Barreiro Cachaça. Cheers!

German Gymnasium

Get in on the Olympic action this Sunday 7th August with a special Olympic bootcamp workout at German Gymnasium, followed by a hard-earned brunch. They'll even treat you to a virtuous and completely free Olympic-inspired mocktail if you order two courses or more! Helping you #GetTheGlow and all that jazz.

Paternoster Chop House

Paternoster Chop House's gigantic bar terrace is the perfect place to keep an eye on the big screens in Paternoster Square, which will be showing all the best bits of the Games. And whether you're celebrating or commiserating, you can't go wrong with a craft beer or a summery cocktail.
