THINGS TO DO IN LONDON THIS WEEKEND: 1ST - 3RD JULY

At a loose end when it comes to the weekend ahead? We’ve got you covered with our top things to do in the city…

1. Soho Food Feast

Soho Food Feast

Not your standard school fair, the Soho Food Feast returns for its sixth year featuring a solid line up of the area’s top restaurants. All our favourite neighbours, including Ducksoup, Blacklock, Hoppers and loads more are participating, serving up taster size versions of their star dishes at just £2 a pop – fab value AND supporting the local Soho Parish primary school. Hit the Club in 100 Wardour St afterwards to dance off all that food – there are live DJs from 6pm.

2. Art Night

Art Night

Get a bit of culture this weekend at the first ever London Art Night organised by the ICA. Popping up across different locations in London including a closed tube platform, the event aims to showcase contemporary artists and turn our city into a stage. We’ll be having dinner at Le Pont de la Tour, then heading to the very creepy Southwark Cathedral to watch a late night performance piece by Joan Jonas and Jason Moran.

3. British Summer Time in Hyde Park

British Summer Time

Nothing says British summertime like being pants-deep in mud at a music festival. Close your eyes all you want and dream for Coachella, but let’s face it, the weather is against us… If that doesn’t deter you, head down to Hyde Park this weekend for the return of the aptly named British Summer Time. With Massive Attack, Florence and the Machines and Kendrick Lamar on the line-up, we’ll be there with bells (and ponchos) on.

4. Wimbledon

Courtyard at Bluebird

Another quintessential British summer essential: Wimbledon. If it’s sunny this weekend we’ll be watching with a burger and Pimm's in hand on the Bluebird courtyard, but if it rains (LOL) Paternoster Chop House is screening all the games inside its Bar &Grill. Or if you want to get really fancy, grab all your mates and hire out The Playroom at 100 Wardour St for your very own private screening.

5. Sunday Sessions

Skylon

A Sunday well spent brings a week of content – and how else to achieve that than with London’s finest food and booze? Throw in live jazz at South Place Hotel or bottomless Prosecco at Sklyon and you’re guaranteed the best week ahead ever. And don’t even get us started on those crispy roast potatoes and proper Yorkies at Almeida…
